Yes as in your bacon n’ eggs (lol). I caught this fashionista eagerly awaiting the start of the Cythina Rowley show, proudly rocking this breakfast pendant. I’m digging on the details, sausage, eggs, hot links, but I’m not sure what that red stuff is!?
Is diversity on the runway getting better or was the all-black Italian Vogue just what model agency owner George Brown, in the Times on Friday, called out as tokenism? Are minorities still a novelty, with casting agents just wanting, according to Brown, “one model that’s really dark skinned or else really mixed and light” to round out the ol’ photo? Shophound to the rescue, publishing the actual percentages of minorities per show, then breaking it down by the individual model. Among the designers with the least diverse runway was PHI with 3.3%; Tracy Reese was among the higher at 36%, with many lovely ladies of color sporting her fun spring dresses. [Via The Cut.]

Once again The Blondes did not fail to leave me gushing, the show as usual was beyond great. Sequins, crystals, see through-plastic raincoats and of course NY’s most funkiest (Pat Fields, Andre J) out in full force. Peep more looks from the show here.
Aww! Gotta love mommies! We caught up with Project Runway contestant, Korto Momolu’s mom minutes after Korto showed her collection at Bryant Park and asked her who she’s gunning for. We knew who she’d say, but loved how she said it! Makes me wanna call my mother right now…
John Legend, Hilary Swank, Diane Kruger, Ally Hilfiger and Anna Wintour came out to Tommy Hilfiger’s spring show at Lincoln Center’s New York State theater.
I have to be very honest with you Styleaholics, I was not at all impressed with this collection. Many of the pieces were not fashion forward, the patterns were too busy, the silhouettes stale and the extra layering of fabric on many of the gowns made them look like traveling silk curtains.
One of the most exciting shows I’ve been to in a minute. Christian’s collection was exquisitely made — peep the shirred, rose-shaped ruffles — and a nice extension of the line he designed for the Season 4 Project Runway finale and the ready-to-wear capsule collection he created exclusively for Bluefly. Hard to believe, a year ago, we had no idea who Christian was…
Thanks to a lovely police investigation at 34th street & 6th Ave (that’s one subway stop away from Bryant Park for you non-New Yorkers), my train was still idling underground when the doors to the Project Runway show closed this morning. :-( Oh, well, at least I got to take shots of the action from the monitors inside the tents.
