Inspiration: Boxing
Highlights: Graphic silhouettes, flat angles, and foggy color palette. Wang focused heavily on outerwear, really honing his skills in tailoring for his customer’s body.

Elizabeth and James
Inspiration: the Olsen twins actual wardrobe
Highlights: Quilted Puffer Jackets, Hidden Textures, and leather overalls. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have graduated to become two of the most influential young designers in the business and this collection proves they are in it for the long haul.

Wes Gordon
Inspiration: Sgt. Pepper Kings Road – meets – Modern Harem
Highlights: Shimmery golds and copper brocades mixed with rich purple velvets and deep red suedes. Gordon may be young but his expertise is growing exponentially with a collection that is comfortably over-the-top!
Tadashi Shoji
Inspiration: Russian culture and history of Russian royal families
Highlights: Washed velvet gowns, subtle ‘regal’ prints, high necks, and “czarina” sleeves. Shoji has established himself as a member of the eveningwear elite. His dresses are celebrity fan-favorites and effortlessly survive the ebb and flow of modern trends.

Whit
Inspiration: Marianne Faithfull in her Mick Jagger days
Highlights: Fur-collared coats, A-line dresses, and even a cameo from a jacquard-print sweatsuit. Designer Whitney Pozgay presented a beautiful collection of pieces perfected with prep-school sensibility and vintage-inflected personality.
Nanette Lepore
Inspiration: the recent expedition to Mars
Highlights: Dark fabrics, kaleidascope prints, and angular separates. Lepore took a different approach this season by being subversive to the young, jaunty collections of the past. She infused wearable glamour into each piece making it appropriate for all age ranges.
