I have to check out this Lifetime show, ‘The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet’- a lot of people are giving interviews there! Miley Cyrus sat down for an interview with Amanda, and here’s what she had to say about critics who criticize her for being a sex symbol.

“If people find that [I am], I take it as a compliment. Thank you for thinking I’m sexy! People are so scared of seeing a woman being like, ‘This is who I am and you’re not going to change it.’”

Miley meant what she sang in her song ‘Can’t Be Tamed,’ which she released in her last year of playing the squeaky-clean Hannah Montana on Disney.

“Even just the title of that, for a woman to say she can’t be tamed. . . for a woman in the world with my face saying ‘I can’t be tamed’ when that’s really all people wanted to do, I think proves how sexist people still really are.”

Miley has a point, although I also think people were responding to the fact that her fan base consisted of a lot of kids! It’s tough to make the transition from child to adult star, but child actors have to do it if they want their careers to continue. Miley made her transition by embracing an “adult” image, but yeah, that led to some backlash.

It was a night of glitz, glamour, and of course, the most gorgeous stars and fashions around! On Feb. 26, celebs like Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and more rocked the white carpet at Elton John’s 20th Annual Oscar Viewing Party at the West Hollywood Park.

Lady Gaga was out in Paris today (sans pants) doing a little shopping.  The singer was just named #1 on the list of ‘Top 20 Celebs Gone Good’ by DoSomething.org.

DoSomething’s COO shared:

“There are some interesting trends from this year’s list. It’s dominated by young celebrities and we also see so many couples. Last year the list had its first power couple, Ashton and Demi, and this year there are a total of four couples. Doing good is definitely fun in groups. There are a handful of other celebrities who just missed the cut-off this year.  We look forward to seeing what they will do in 2012.”

Is there anyone you think should’ve made the list? I’m a little surprised at a few of the names, but overall it looks like the celebs we seedonating time, attention, and money to good causes.

Miley Cyrus attended the American Giving Awards Friday night. What do you think of her look? I have to say, it doesn’t seem like the most flattering for her, from her hair pulled back into a ponytail to the dress. It’s a departure from her usual style.

Miley’s a young girl, but this look seems more appropriate for a more mature woman. It’s not that Miley looks horrible or anything, she’s a good-looking girl, but if I were her stylist, this wouldn’t be the look I’d go with. Maybe she wanted to look more serious?
