Style Star: Emily Maynard

If you haven’t been watching the Bachelorette this season, you’ve been missing out.  Not only is this season emotional, but Emily Maynard wears amazing outfits showcasing her wonderful style. The wizard behind the Bacheloretter’s style is Cary Fetman. As the stylist for the show, Cary chooses Emily’s every look. Apparently Cary channels her inner child because dressing Emily “was like dressing a Barbie doll”. How cute!

Fashionista Alert: Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence

The Hunger Games movie comes out this month making fans of the trilogy bate in anticipation of their favorite series’ on-screen adaptation. While the actors take part in press for the movie and make their rounds at award shows, it is hard to avoid certain cast members. Who may you ask? Well, you might think I meant the handsome Liam Helmsworth, but I was actually referring to Jennifer Lawrence!

The Hunger Games star knows how to take command of a red carpet, and makes it look effortless. So lets take a look at some of my favorite looks on Jennifer, and don’t forget to buy your ticket — I already have mine!

Jennifer first made waves for her impeccable style at the 2011 Academy Awards. She arrived in a flattering, body hugging red Calvin Klein gown, and stole the show with this look!

At this year’s People’s Choice Awards, Jennifer wore this blue Viktor & Rolf dress. Recently Katy Perry was also spotted wearing this ensemble at Paris Fashion Week. I will leave it up to you to decide who wore it better, but I can’t deny that Jennifer definitely worked this look. The makeup choice, her smoky blue eyes, her slicked back hairdo, and her neutral black heels perfectly compliment the dress. Everything worked together to pull one chic look!

This month Jennifer was chosen as the April 2012 cover girl for both the U.S. and U.K. version of Glamour Magazine, and the actress looks absolutely radiant throughout the spread. In the above U.S. cover shot, Jennider is wearing a gold Elie Tahari top, and white Lucky Jeans. In her interview, the 21 year old actress, talked about the importance of eating healthy and having a good self body image–very important for young girls to have. I think it can be said that Jennifer is not only a great actress and fashionista, but role model as well!

Rachel McAdams Rolls in the Pink for February

Rachel McAdams graces the cover of Glamour’s February issue. These pictures definitely show off her glamorous side! Here are some excerpts from her interview:

On dating her co-stars:

A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don’t think it’s very conducive; it’s too distracting. Every relationship I’ve had with a coworker has come afterthe fact, because you wind up actually spending a lot of time with those people promoting the movie.

On how style defines a character:

I love those preliminary conversations about who a character is. You try on wigs, shoes and clothes. It’s preferable when it’s not about looking pretty. It can get a little dull to just be cute. We talk about things like, maybe my character can’t afford these Christian Louboutins. [The stylist] will say, “No one will notice.” And I’m like, “Everyone knows that red-bottom shoe!”

Yes, the red soles are definitely noticeable! You can read Rachel’s entire interview in the February issue of Glamour magazine, which hits newsstands on January 10.

Glamour Magazine’s Maria Duenas Jacobs Has Punchy Style

Sometimes the strongest punches come in tiny packages. In the case of Glamour accessories editor Maria Duenas Jacobs, killer style and a lithe frame make for one hell of a punch. Jacobs enjoys traveling which is reflected in her ever-eclectic style. She always add her signature girlish-ness to each of her outfits – which is why she has become a darling among the street style photographers. Where there is Maria, there is both glamour and Glamour.
