Christie Brinkley: Bold & Colorful

Talk about totally rocking spring trends! On May 7, blonde beauty Christie Brinkley stepped out in style as she sported a bold and bright day dress at the Grove in LA.

The Chicago star, who is currently on the road with the show, stopped by the set of Extra yesterday and chatted the afternoon away with the co-host. After she taped her segment of the show, Christie posed for pics and showed off her fashionable frock.

I’m loving this colorful number on Christie, are you?!

1. A classic pair of tortoise shell sunglasses are meant for the ladies of the world (you!) and definitely worth investing in or snag a cheaper pair and lose the worry of losing them. Either way, onlookers will be blinded by your chic never fading style.

2. Bold stripes always make a fun, fresh statement. And with the wacky spring weather, the pinterest community is LOVING this J.Crew coat.

3. Printed Shorts are a must have – and the options of colors, prints, and patterns are endless. Choose one, choose all.

4. Give your barking dogs some love in tribal print wedges meant to rock the outfit and soothe the soles (literally, comfort is practically built into these wedges).

5. Take a tip from style guru Jessica Alba and get on board with the neon, colored jean trend. Why stop at one?

6. The best transitional piece of the season? The maxi skirt. Dress up with heels or down with flat sandals, either way, you will look and feel fashion forward.

Look to Copy: Cindy Crawford

OoOoO la la, take a look at Cindy Crawford showing off her style on the red carpet at the IPA Dinner honoring Brian Edwards in LA.

As Cindy posed for pics she put her passion for fashion on full display. Cindy opted for a blue blazer and black skinny jeans.

Floral Everywhere!

My favorite part about May is seeing flowers everywhere! Finally, they are back and in full bloom. Why not carry that same enthusiasm in your outfit choice. From tops to bottoms, florals are everywhere this season.

Gita Guldal, an interior architect/designer, jewelry designer and blogger, takes the floral trend and runs with it. Follow her footsteps and test boundaries with the prints. You never know how much success you will have!

30 Items You Need Before 30

30thingstowear

Glamour’s 30 Things Every Woman Should Have And Should Know Before 30 got us thinking about the jobs, boyfriends and connundrums we’ve had so far, but what about the clothes? Personally, I’m thankful I had an aunt that gave me awesome designer hand-me-downs for my first job at a fashion magazine and taught me how to put together an interview outfit. I’m sure you’ve all learned valuable lessons and accumulated incredible pieces of clothing over your years on this earth. On Friday afternoon, we all hung around the office in almost kind of a kumbaya circle and talked about those things that have totally transformed our wardrobes. If only we’d known them earlier, it could have saved us a whole lot of bad outfits along the way. See how your closet stacks up!

One little dress to throw on at a moment’s notice–the job interview, the date or the Tk, be it a little printed dress, little white dress, or the classic little black dress. It does wonders.
