Fashionista Alert: Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence

The Hunger Games movie comes out this month making fans of the trilogy bate in anticipation of their favorite series’ on-screen adaptation. While the actors take part in press for the movie and make their rounds at award shows, it is hard to avoid certain cast members. Who may you ask? Well, you might think I meant the handsome Liam Helmsworth, but I was actually referring to Jennifer Lawrence!

The Hunger Games star knows how to take command of a red carpet, and makes it look effortless. So lets take a look at some of my favorite looks on Jennifer, and don’t forget to buy your ticket — I already have mine!

Jennifer first made waves for her impeccable style at the 2011 Academy Awards. She arrived in a flattering, body hugging red Calvin Klein gown, and stole the show with this look!

At this year’s People’s Choice Awards, Jennifer wore this blue Viktor & Rolf dress. Recently Katy Perry was also spotted wearing this ensemble at Paris Fashion Week. I will leave it up to you to decide who wore it better, but I can’t deny that Jennifer definitely worked this look. The makeup choice, her smoky blue eyes, her slicked back hairdo, and her neutral black heels perfectly compliment the dress. Everything worked together to pull one chic look!

This month Jennifer was chosen as the April 2012 cover girl for both the U.S. and U.K. version of Glamour Magazine, and the actress looks absolutely radiant throughout the spread. In the above U.S. cover shot, Jennider is wearing a gold Elie Tahari top, and white Lucky Jeans. In her interview, the 21 year old actress, talked about the importance of eating healthy and having a good self body image–very important for young girls to have. I think it can be said that Jennifer is not only a great actress and fashionista, but role model as well!

Channeling My Best #RHONY

Today is a day reserved to appreciate the finer threads in thematic dressing. As a pioneering Man Repeller, it’s an absolute duty that I take my tendencies beyond the confines of body hovering and parlay the talent into other scopes of entertainment; enter Bravo, the channel. While New York’s Real Housewives are ridding their show of a big fat chunk of its entertainment, it ain’t over til Simon van Kempen pronounces the truth about his sexuality which, you know, means they’re not going anywhere. In light of this, today we pay homage to what is perhaps one of the most important things counterpart Alex McCord has said. Add a little oomph, picture Sonja Morgan in a cocktail dress and repeat: she is a thug in a cocktail dress. Thug in a cocktail dress? Eureka. I’ve given serious thought to this sentiment and resolved that in order to properly identify oneself as a thug in, you know, a cocktail dress, you must in fact be a thug, wearing a cocktail dress.

And so alas, I’m hip, I’m with it, I can boogie, I can curse, I can give you seductive eyes that suggest slight craziness and may also graze upon some serious mental disorder. I can steal things and break car windows, leave notes that promise to reimburse the victims.

Or I can give you fish lips and flash my pale ass legs at you all the while maintaining a visual air of, you know, thug in a cocktail dress-ness.

And ultimately, you see, if worse comes to it and my sentiment is not properly expressed, I can and will always just forget it and break out in a macarena-lambada hybrid dance. If you’re still reading, I apologize for taking ten minutes from your life that you can never regain.

That’s a peek at my behind, this is my sorry face. I’m practically a sour patch kid: sour, sweet, gone. Bye!
