For the past few years, Redbook has been trying to woo the hip young mommy set with sweet nothings like “this isn’t your mother’s magazine.” But with Gilles Bensimon’s lens performing a “mom-over” on the Ladies Home Journal-esque covers the mag is known for, readers may start to believe.
Peep the May cover, starring Faith Hill costumed to look like the Princess Mom herself: Grace Kelly. The May issue also features three additional covers of Hill posing as herself, Twiggy and Brigitte Bardot. The decision to go vintage with the new look could be just the fashion paradox Redbook needs.
