For those of you with raging cases of closet envy, get ready for a major fix in New York as the MET’s Costume Institute unveils its Nan Kempner exhibition. It’s a literal re-creation of the multi-room closet of the late socialite-cum-clotheshorse, boasting nearly 700 sweaters and jackets and “larger displays for Saint Laurents, Valentinos, Balmains and Gaultiers…3,000 garments and accessories in all,” says the New York Times. Ah, those were the days when ultra-skinny rich party gals were actually fashion muses instead of victims.
