Cosplayers, Japanese nerds who go to anime conventions dressed as their favorite characters, are as devoted to simulating their cartoon heroes as Trekkies are to speaking perfect Klingon. With their knack for producing garments that are complicated, sexy and weird, it can’t be long before Cosplayers start getting snatched up by savvy fashion overlords.
