A collection inspired by “Star Wars” in general and Darth Vader in particular sounds a little odd, and even odder when half the men in the show appear not in capes and black polished helmets but shiny patent leather, fiberglass breast plates and for the men — shorts? One reporter asked comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who sat through the Narciso Rodriguez spring 2007 show, what he might be buying from the collection. He replied, with not a little sarcasm, “The hot pants, but nothing else.”
