Many fall 2006-07 collections were accessorized to the hilt — leg warmers, fingerless gloves, sunglasses, belts, etc. But the biggest hit on the runways seemed to be — what else? — the handbag. The bigger the better and the more the merrier, it seemed. WWD did the numbers: more than half of Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta models walked the runways with a handbag, while Diane von Furstenberg and Alice Roi launched handbag collections for fall 2006-07.
