When it comes to feathers, a few plucky designers are choosing to fake it this spring. Marc Jacobs simulates a bird-like look with his aqua layered organza skirt, and although her collection is loaded with feathered hats and an ostrich skirt, Prada’s computer-printed faux-feather silk dress is expected to be her runaway hit. Prada told The Guardian that birds represent “freedom, courage, and happiness.” Yeah, especially when they haven’t got any feathers.
